Ziporah Janowski
In my third career, following law and business, I have returned to my childhood passion - art - and dedicated myself to painting and drawing, My journey has been guided by a world renowned master artist and by self study. Focused on realism, I paint still lifes, street scenes, landscapes and people and pet portraits in oil and pastels. I draw portraits in graphite and also explore abstract works in cold wax, oil and acrylic. Inspired by nostalgic objects—like vintage typewriters, sewing tools, and gumball machines — I often incorporate these into my art. My landscapes are painted en plein air near my home in Croton on Hudson, or based on my travel photos. In 2024, I debuted in my first exhibition in Beacon, New York, and have since participated in a number of juried and non-juried local art exhibits.
