Three Issues In, The Palette Is Finding Its Rhythm
After three issues, The Palette, the Ossining Arts Council’s monthly newsletter, is beginning to find its rhythm.
Launched in March, The Palette was created as a way to bring together what’s happening across OAC — not just through events and announcements, but through the quieter work that connects artists, ideas, and community over time. Each issue offers a glimpse of that larger picture, moving between what’s unfolding within OAC and what’s happening in the broader arts community around us.
In just a few months, the response has been encouraging. Readers have begun to engage with the newsletter, explore featured artists, and connect more deeply with the work being shared. With each issue, we’re learning more about what resonates — and where there’s room to grow.
Alongside the newsletter, new pieces of OAC’s digital presence are continuing to take shape. Artwork in Focus, a recently introduced monthly feature on the OAC website, highlights a small rotating selection of member artworks, creating space to slow down and look more closely at individual works. Together with the newsletter, it reflects an ongoing effort to expand how we share and experience art within the OAC community.
The Palette is still young, but it is already becoming an important space for connection, visibility, and storytelling. This is the moment where it can continue to grow in meaningful ways — shaped not just by what we include, but by what you want to see. If you’ve been reading, we’d love your input. What sections do you find yourself going back to? Are there artists, stories, or ideas you’d like us to highlight? Even a quick thought or suggestion helps.
