Keith Gordon has worked with clay since 1971, studying with his Mother, Mildred Gordon and at the Baltimore Museum of Art with Olin Russum. He has pursued further ceramic study and figure sculpture classes at Fairmont College, Touchstone Center, Peters Valley, Clay Art Center, Garrison Art Center, Westchester Art Workshop, Belle Levine Art Center, and Sugar Maples.
Keith works in stoneware, porcelain, terra cotta and fires in his Raku, reduction and oxidation kilns. Keith's work emphasizes organic forms that express the plasticity of clay. His studio is located in Ossining.
Keith established and manages the ceramics studio at the Cedar Lane Arts Center in Cedar Lane Park where he teaches ceramics to adults through the Ossining Recreation & Parks Dep’t. Keith also teaches ceramics at Pelham Art Center and is an officer of Hudson River Potters and Ossining Arts Council.
