Will you accept the 2026 Art Challenge?
Guitar Pickup at Mike Risko’s Music School: Tuesday, July 7 at 6:30 pm
What: In collaboration with Mike Risko’s Music School, OAC members will have a chance to choose a discarded guitar and give it “a Second Act” by transforming the instrument through Art. Participating artists will be allowed to transform the guitar with paint, decoupage, tile…etc etc
Why: The finished Art Guitars will be auctioned at Mike Risko’s Music School in Ossining, NY in a reception and auction in October 2026. Of course all participating artists will be there.
Half of the proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Ossining Food Pantry and the other half will go to OAC. Artists will not receive payment… but there will be lots of press coverage. Mike and Miriam Risko will also not be receiving any payment… but are very excited for this exposure for their store and for the OAC.
When: There are only 13 guitars… participants must commit to the process… and really want to participate and challenge themselves artistically and creatively. Due date… is October 2026 (exact date TBD).

Anne Zimmerman and Jen Poulos will be in charge of this Challenge event and will guide you and make certain you understand the assignment. Please make certain that you are up for this creative challenge… before you commit. The first 13 members to sign up will be able to participate.
