Artwork In Focus

Artwork in Focus highlights a small, rotating selection of individual works created by members of the Ossining Arts Council. This space is designed to slow the pace of viewing and invite closer attention to each piece — allowing the artwork itself to take center stage.

The works featured here are drawn from OAC exhibitions and programs and exist alongside our Virtual Exhibitions, which present a broader range of artists and artwork. Selections change over time, offering visitors the opportunity to return and engage with new works, and, when available, explore related content such as artist interviews or talks that offer further insight into the creative process.

“Roots Go Deep”

I keep coming back to the layering in this piece—the surface feels active, but there’s a quiet underneath it that holds my attention.

“Looking Through”

The color relationships feel deliberate but open-ended. It invites interpretation without asking for a single reading.

“Lighted Path”

There’s something about the balance here that slows me down. I find myself looking longer than I expect to.
— Janet A.
